Privacy Policy

What stays on your device

Your calculations are done in your browser. We do not send the numbers you enter to our servers. The site stores a few items in your browser’s local storage so that it can remember you:

• cc_prefs: your unit and waste preferences.
• cc_history and concreteHistory: your last calculations.
• cc_pourlist: the items on your Pour List.
• cc_theme: your light or dark theme choice.

Information we may collect

• Email address, name and message, only if you contact us.
• Usage information: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location from the IP address, and referring page.
• Server logs kept by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, which include IP addresses and are used for security and operation.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. Analytics scripts are loaded after the page itself and use Google Consent Mode. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage are denied by default. Analytics reports are aggregated and we do not use them to identify individuals.

Advertising

We may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can learn how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage personalized ads at adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of personalized advertising at aboutads.info. We do not allow ads next to calculator inputs, and ad placements are labeled.

Cookies

The site itself does not need cookies to work. Cookies may be set by Google Analytics and Google AdSense when they are allowed. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Clearing your browser data also clears the items listed above.

How we use information

• To provide and improve the calculators, guides and charts.
• To answer your messages.
• To keep the site secure and working.
• To meet legal obligations.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers who help operate the site (hosting, analytics and advertising), when required by law, or in a business transfer. Those providers have their own privacy policies.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to its processing, and to withdraw consent. Email us at hello@concretecalculator.org to make a request. We respond within 30 days. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Retention

• Messages to us are kept up to two years after the last contact, or until you ask us to delete them.
• Aggregated analytics data may be kept for as long as it is useful.
• Items in local storage stay on your device until you clear them.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, they rely on lawful transfer mechanisms.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
